CAD (Computer Aided Drafting)
Measure & Divide
Students will be able to test their ability to measure, as well as their basic math skills. Working with fractions and decimal equivalents students will develop a fundamental knowledge that will be utilized throughout the course.
Introduction to VectorWorks
Students will be able to gain a basic understanding of using CAD software by completing two geometric construction sheets. The basic tools and introductory processes of VectorWorks will be explored
3 View Drawings
Students will be able to develop traditional 2 dimensional views of a three dimensional object. A front, top and right side view of the objects will be developed in a basic drafting layout.
Sectional Views
Students will be able to develop a series of 2 dimensional drawings which show a cut away, or section view of the item.
3 Dimensional Drawings
Students will develop basic skills in creating 3 dimensional drawings of a variety of 2 dimensional drawings.
Introduction to Architectural Drawing
Students will be able to produce 3 dimensional views of a single story home. The home will be based on plans that are available online from Pine Grove Homes. These plans will be modified to suit individual needs.
