I graduated from Pine Grove Area High School in 1979. After high school, I continued my education at Millersville University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education in 1983. I also obtained a Master of Education degree from Millersville University in 1988. 

     Prior to my teaching position here at Pine Grove Area, I worked as an assistant director at a daycare center in Reading, PA. I was hired by the Pine Grove Area School District in 1985. Over the years, I have taught fourth grade, third grade, kindergarten, and second grade. This year marks my 39th year as an educator here at Pine Grove Area and my 22nd year as a second grade teacher.

     I reside in Pine Grove with my husband, Michael, whom I have been married to for 36 years. We are the proud parents of twin daughters, Amy and Abby. They graduated from Lock Haven University in May 2014 and are certified Physician Assistants. Abby and my first son-in-law, Brandon Zimmerman, blessed me with my first grandchild, Braydon, on August 29, 2016. Amy and my second son-in-law, Brandon Schaeffer, blessed me with my second grandchild, Addalyn, on March 15, 2019, and my third grandchild, Jordan, on January 25, 2021. I also have a step-grandson, Jaxen Schaeffer. I truly love being a Nana! I am also Nana to my "grand dogs"  Bella, Buddha, and Beau, and the late Buddy.
