Steven Shanahan is the son of Steve and Deanna Shanahan of Pine Grove.

His high school activities include football, Diesel Vo-tech program, SKILLS U.S.A. and co-op at Dutch Valley in Diesel Technology.

Steven's future plan is to obtain a full time job as a diesel mechanic.

What it means to Steven to be named May's student of the month:

"It is a privilege to be nominated for student of the month.  I am happy to see that all my hard work is paying off. I appreciate all my teachers recognizing everything I put into school and vo-tech."
